About the Project

A Symbolic Gift with a Story

Created as a symbolic gift to the citizens of Topolovgrad, this 2.4-metre camel pays tribute to one of the town’s most distinctive chapters of history.

In the early 20th century, Topolovgrad became a centre of camel breeding and transport in southeastern Bulgaria. The animals were used to carry goods across the difficult terrain of Sakar and the surrounding region, earning the people of the town their famous connection with camels.

The sculpture was produced from PETG and finished with industrial polyurethane coatings. Measuring 2.4 m high, 2 m long and 90 cm wide, it was built to be both a visual landmark and a lasting symbol of local identity.

The most demanding part of the project was hidden inside: the metal frame. Because the camel’s legs are positioned at different angles rather than standing straight, every structural profile had to be cut at a precise angle to achieve the required shape and stability.

From concept to finished sculpture: 1.5 months.
