How long does a project take?
The production timeline depends on the size, complexity, materials, and finishing requirements of the project. After reviewing your concept and requirements, Layer Lab will provide an estimated timeline and keep you informed throughout the process. We can also work around specific event, campaign, or installation deadlines whenever possible.
What does the Layer Lab service include?
Layer Lab offers a complete 3D scan printing and production service, from concept development, 3D scanning, modeling and design to manufacturing, finishing, delivery, and installation.
What materials are your products made from?
Our large-scale 3D printed products are typically made from PETG, a durable material with good mechanical properties and resistance to weather conditions. For projects with specific requirements, we can also use materials such as ABS, PLA, PC, PP, PA and others, selecting the best option based on the product’s application, durability, and environment.
How will my project be delivered and installed?
Once production is complete, we can arrange transportation and installation of your project. For large-scale 3D printed sculptures and installations, we plan the delivery process according to the object’s size, weight, location, and installation requirements to ensure it arrives safely and is properly assembled.
Do you provide quality assurance documentation?
Yes. A standard 1-year guarantee can be provided when required, under normal conditions of use. Additional quality assurance documentation or certifications are also available depending on the project and its specific requirements.
How will we communicate throughout the project?
You will have a dedicated point of contact throughout the project. We keep communication clear and regular, providing updates at key stages such as design, production, finishing, and delivery. Where required, we can also share progress visuals for approval before moving to the next stage.
