About the Project

3D Project Created by the Community

The Pig is a collaborative project created by Bulgaria’s 3D printing community, bringing people from across the country together around a shared idea.

The model was divided into 140 individual parts, which were 3D printed and sent by 80 people from different parts of Bulgaria. Each participant contributed one or more pieces, while Georgi took care of assembling, finishing and painting the final sculpture.

Measuring 1.60 m in height × 1.10 m in width, the pig was designed with an intentionally cartoon-like character, giving the sculpture a distinctive and instantly recognizable appearance.

The biggest challenge? 140 parts, 80 people and one final sculpture — coordinating the entire process and managing the logistics of bringing all the pieces together.

But the project is interesting for more than just the way it was produced. It shows how 3D printing can turn an idea into a collaborative project, connecting people, technology and different perspectives.

One model. 140 parts. 80 contributors. One shared idea.
